The Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign

The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: How can link this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a strong ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was going to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the identical vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
