Loyal supporters of the pop star are demanding that a individual who leaped a barrier and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers walked down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of attendees had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting characters.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen Academy Award nods, securing a pair for excellent wardrobe and production design.
