Mohamed Salah Offers Regret to Squad, Says Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad following the fallout from his recent interview.

The Incident

He was omitted from a European match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his relationship with manager had deteriorated.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

The manager has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.

The player stated that the team's response stayed normal. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

The midfielder also noted that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “I get that there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Their results have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to harm the team.
