Manchester United Completes Transfer of Germany Star Forward Lea Schuller

Manchester United's women's football side has made a major signing by bringing in German international forward Lea Schuller from the Bundesliga champions.

The 28-year-old, who put pen to paper on a contract that will keep her at the club until June 2029, becomes the team's second signing of the winter transfer period, following the signing of defender Hanna Lundkvist.

An Accomplished Winner

Schuller spent a five-year spell at Bayern Munich, featuring in more than 100 games and playing a key role in them win multiple Bundesliga championships.

On the international stage, her statistics is equally impressive, with 54 goals in 82 appearances for Germany.

"From our initial talks that I had with head coach Marc Skinner and the club, the ambitions of everyone here were extremely evident," commented Schuller.

She was part of the team that finished as runners-up to England at the 2022 European Championship and also claimed a third-place finish at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"There is still so much that I aim to achieve in my career, and I am convinced that this club is the perfect place for me," she added.

"I believe that the team's style of football will really suit my game. I hope my attributes and know-how can help us to reach our objectives both in the WSL and in the European competition."

Strengthening for the Future

The club are aiming to be active in the transfer window as manager Marc Skinner seeks to strengthen his squad for the latter stages of the top European competition.

They have already agreed a contract extension with key midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who will now stay until the end of the decade.
