Football Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.

My son advised me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
